AD vs SK vs FV — every flash we list online, with VAT prices and plain-English explanations
Godox studio flashes and accessories at SkyOrbits showroom, Muscat

You are not the first customer to ask: “Which Godox flash — AD, SK, or FV — and what do I need with it?” Here is a straight guide to the lines we sell in Muscat, with prices beside each name and short explanations under every product.

Godox AD series — battery location flashes

The AD line is for photographers who shoot on location: weddings, events, portraits outdoors, and travel. Heads are battery-powered (no mains cable trailing behind you). Common models worldwide include AD200, AD300Pro, AD400Pro, and AD600 — we list what is on our website today; ask WhatsApp for AD300/AD400 bodies if you only see modifiers or batteries online.

Godox AD200Pro II 200W TTL Pocket Flash — 124.900 OMR incl. VAT In stock

The pocket flash everyone starts with for location work. Roughly 200Ws, TTL/HSS, interchangeable bare-bulb and speedlite-style heads, and small enough for a shoulder bag. Ideal for wedding prep rooms, corporate portraits, and as a fill light next to a larger AD600 on location.

Godox Witstro AD600BM II All-In-One Outdoor Flash — 159.900 OMR incl. VAT Check availability

The 600Ws location workhorse (Witstro AD600BM II). Enough power to overpower Omani midday sun with a modifier, or to drive a large softbox indoors. Heavier than AD200 — usually on a sturdy stand or wheeled base. Check stock before a paid job; we can often source AD600-family gear quickly on WhatsApp.

Godox AD Pro II — one product on the shop with three wattage options (each its own price and stock line):

Godox AD Pro II All-in-One Outdoor Flash (300W) — 154.900 OMR incl. VAT Check availability

The 300W AD Pro II — the lightest grab-and-go in this family. Built-in battery, modeling lamp, and Bowens mount in one body. Good for location portraits, small crews, and sets where you want Pro II features without the bulk of higher wattages.

Godox AD Pro II All-in-One Outdoor Flash (400W) — 198.450 OMR incl. VAT In stock

The 400W middle step — more punch for larger modifiers and small groups while staying portable. Same all-in-one outdoor design (battery + head + mount) with faster recycle than the 300W class.

Godox AD Pro II All-in-One Outdoor Flash (600W) — 254.900 OMR incl. VAT Check availability

The 600W option when you need AD Pro II power closer to classic AD600 territory — outdoor fashion, evening events, and harsh sun with a big softbox. Heavier; plan stands and sandbags accordingly.

Godox SK series — AC studio monolights

SK lights plug into the wall. They recycle quickly and cost less per joule than battery systems — perfect for a Muscat studio room, product table, or training space. Not ideal for chasing a bride through a garden unless you bring a generator.

Godox SK300II-E 2-Light Studio Flash Kit — 129.000 OMR incl. VAT In stock

A two-head AC studio kit built around the SK300II line (~300Ws class). Plug into mains power — best for a fixed portrait room, product table, or small studio where you want fast recycle and predictable output without charging batteries between sets.

Godox SK400II-V Kits 2 Light Studio Kit — 164.900 OMR incl. VAT In stock

The SK400II sibling kit with more power per head (~400Ws class). Choose this when you need extra punch for larger modifiers, group shots, or higher ceilings. Still AC-powered — not for running-and-gunning on location like the AD series.

Godox FV series — flash + LED hybrid

FV heads combine a strobe tube with a continuous LED for video. One mount, one stand, two modes — fewer gear changes when your client asks for “a few video clips” after stills.

Godox FV200 High Speed Sync Flash/Daylight LED Monolight — 139.900 OMR incl. VAT In stock

Godox’s hybrid monolight: strobe for stills and continuous LED for video in one housing. If your team shoots interviews plus stills on the same set, FV saves swapping between a flash head and a separate LED panel. HSS-capable for shutter control with flash; LED mode for rolling video.

Light stands, C-stands & wheeled gear

A flash is only half the kit — modifiers need height and angle. Below: general light stands, a wheeled boom, C-stands for grip, and caster add-ons we carry now.

Triggers — control AD / SK / FV from your hot shoe

Godox radios let you fire off-camera and keep TTL/HSS (camera-dependent). Buy the version that matches your camera brand (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, etc.).

Softboxes & modifiers in stock

Bowens-mount modifiers for AD/SK/FV heads (and many LEDs). Grids and diffusion change contrast — if you are unsure, message us a photo of your room and we will suggest one box.

Which line should you buy?

  • Mostly outdoor weddings / events → start AD200Pro II; add AD600 class power if you shoot in harsh sun.
  • Fixed studio roomSK300II or SK400II kits on AC mains.
  • Photo + video same set → look at FV200 hybrid.
  • Always budget for: stand or C-stand, trigger (if not built-in), and at least one softbox or umbrella.

Still comparing modifiers or Sony vs Canon triggers? Questions? WhatsApp us with your camera mount — we will keep it practical, not a sales script.
